The first new FOCUS TOF-MARIS microscope was tested in the factory in December 2024 and is now installed at the University of Regensburg. The TOF-MARIS is a time-of-flight photoemission microscope with the new powerful MARIS lens, which we launched at the DPG spring meeting in Berlin in March 2024. We are proud to have the first instrument delivered to our customer within one year after the launch. In combination with a powerful pulsed laser system, it will help to understand the physics of ultra-fast electron dynamics. The importance of this research was just underlined with the Nobel prize in physics in 2023. The TOF-MARIS now makes the next big step in resolving power.
